Why I see Thailand as awesome

I've a few slogan in life and one of these is "I live to travel". Even lesser are the places whose memories are etched in my head for life. Thailand is unquestionably one of the rare gems. But in the lack of that, I believe there is seldom another area in which you can get better value for your own money.

Bangkok, as the capital of Thailand, promises lots of excitement and surprises. Being a larger city it really is, you can anticipate a city that is a lot more energetic than other cities in the country. From the gold palace to the weekend marketplace. I'm especially impressed with the Chatuchak weekend market. It's like a huge melting-pot where you really get to appreciate the various culinary pleasures from different areas of Siam. Subsequently there is the Tuk Tuk experience that is unlike any other.

Phuket is the next most famous destination after Bangkok. Laying on the outer-most point of the state, Phuket has one of the most incredible beaches on the planet. But it is likely the devastating Tsunami that happened in 2006 that introduced Phuket to the world stage. I have gone to Phuket several occasions but luckily, I wasn't there when the Tsunami hit. To me, what I remember the most about Phuket is the beach massage that I had there. I can not think of much better spot to have massage than putting on the beach as you watch the sunlight comes down gradually in your horizon.

It covers such places as krabi and Koh Samui and they're definitely areas that you should not miss if you are planning your travel itinerary to the state. What leaves me amazed is the nevertheless pristine beaches you are able to see in these areas despite the substantial tourism existence which usually have resulted in over-commercialisation. There's scarcely any such place anymore nowadays. Don't forget to check the calendar to ensure the time of your visit does not coincide with the monsoon period when you would discover many attractions to be shut.
